SharePoint Edit List Views not working

Since the release of Add Columns-Show/hide columns feature, we cannot add columns to a view.  An example, we have a list called Issues when we use either the old way of editing a view, or the new way, the fields are not added.  In addition to this, if we create a new view and select this, the name in the list page does not change to the name of the new view (sorry lots of views in this post!!!!).  Anyone experiencing the same?
