SharePoint Blog - Remove "Picture" on Page Layout

On the blog page layout, there is a picture and text that reads: 'No, this isn't actually my picture. I just haven't gotten around to updating this section. It's good to know that someone is reading every last word though. Thanks!'

I cannot seem to figure out how to remove this.  I am the owner of the site but I cannot edit the layout to remove the web part.  Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Just Add ?Contents=1 to the end of the page address and delete the webpart named about this blog.

I am a Global Admin for SPO and Office 365. I am getting a message that "access is required". what level of permissions do I need?

Per article below you need just edit access. Try ?maintenancemode=true as specified in article and see if it helps.
