Sharepoint 2013 Calendar Check Double Booking
I created a calendar in SharePoint 2013 and trying to prevent users from adding a event during the same date and time. In the List Settings under Validation settings I added [Check Double] however now every time I add an event it displays it's booked even if the calendar is empty.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Bill

- Chris GullicksenIron ContributorDoes anyone know about the history related to the site feature called "Work Group Lists"? According to this article it is what enables the reservation, resources and possibly the double booking part of the calendar that I would like to explore more.
I've got a 2013 on prem environment so i'm not sure this site feature is something that can be added to a 2013 + site. I noticed the documentation was related to 2010 sites.

i think that was an old feature that began in 2007 and was dropped.

Good to know. Thank you for the quick reply.
I found a hidden way to enable it on this site and I think if you have these requirements this is a hidden gem that still works in SharePoint.

Have you found an answer to this issue? I ran into the same issue with the check double booking showing up even when the calendar is empty. I am not sure what other people are doing to work around this.
EDIT: Also, I did check the answers provided above, but those options do not apply to my environment.
Thanks,

I have not found a solution. It fell off my priority list but still interested in getting it working.

If you do find a solution. May you please share that with us here? The double booking and overlapping times seems to be an issue Microsoft is not working to fix. I've submitted requests to Microsoft support and they closed the ticket with no solution.
Thanks!
