SharePoint- External sharing error

Is this SharePoint Online or SharePoint OnPremises? In case of SharePoint Online, I'm afraid we cannot help a lot here so I recommend you to open a support ticket

    This was actually solved later the same day with Microsoft. They had put out an advisory, and we both missed the advisory in our history section of our admin center for Office 365. But our external sharing has been working since they updated the advisory.
