Hi, I have exactly the same issue.
Very frustrating for our users.
I noticed when i click on the filters in a grouped view that the field configured in my grouping view is deduplicated with a |xxxxxxxxx.
I think something is wrong on Sharepoint side.
Same issue on different sites with different content types and different term sets.
I think there might be some backend issue because this occurred suddenly and affects users randomly. The only thing we noticed was that this issue only appears on either document sets or metadata (or both, not sure yet). For all other libraries, the group by tool and view works fine.
We haven't gotten any reduplication issues with a |xxxxxxxxxx issue.
Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
