Microsoft - Please don't listen to the uptight admins. Keep this. It's good for role based security and cross organizational collaboration. They just don't get it yet.
I personally think the only problem with it is that it doesn't work. At least, not consistently. I've seen some cases where it works as expected, but it seems every time I *want* or *need* it to work, it just doesn't. As in, things shared with the group don't appear there all the time.
