Setting unique values for the Created By column

Hi Everyone:

Does anyone know if it would be possible to enforce unique values for the Created By column for a list?

I am trying to limit entries by users to 1 entry per user.

Thanks!

    Hello,

You can but not with the default Created By column you can create a new one and hide this one 😉

Make sure you have the new in your default view for the users.

please find the attached image and let me know if you need more help.

    Regards,

    Alireza

      Hello Alireza
It's great, but the problem is that this column NEED to be filled (correctly) by the user (whereas the original one is automatically filled whith himself, no way to "trick")
      Or I missed something ?
      Best regards

Marc HENNETIER You're right. This is how it works using SharePoint out of the box functionalities.

If you are using SharePoint online, you can customize list form using Power apps --> set default value of column to current user --> disable the field on form so that user cannot modify it --> Publish the form.

This should work for you as there is no other SharePoint default way for this.
