Mar 13, 2018Second top level URL?
We have driessen.sharepoint.com as our top level sharepoint URL for our company driessen.nl. Now we have ijk.nl as a second top level domain. Is it possible to have ijk.sharepoint.com as toplevel URL for sharepoint sites taht belong to the ijk part of the company?
Nope. You get one only, based on the default tenant domain, and you cannot change it. As it's a single-label entry, there is no other way, how would you handle ijk.com vs ijk.nl for example?

Also of possible interest - you will eventually be able to rename the top level SharePoint URL in SharePoint Online ..

But, in any case, I don't think that it will never be possible to have different "<domain>.sharepoint.com" URLs for different domains inside the same tenant...

No, that wouldn’t be my understanding either
We've been hearing about this for years now... I hope we finally see it happen this year.

as mentioned by others, you cannot do that, but you will soon be able to create Hub sites that connect to all of the sites in ijk. You may also want to implement the Group Naming Policy https://support.office.com/en-us/article/office-365-groups-naming-policy-6ceca4d3-cad1-4532-9f0f-d469dfbbb552

Only way is to add an additional tenant and add the domain ijk.nl as accepted domain.

Well, you could always have a second tenant, though...
I had exactly the same problem with a customer and they eventually got a second completely independent tenant and solved the problem in this way.
