Rollup of content across hubs

We piloted a number of models to see which worked best and what compromises you need to make for each and settled on this one as having the least number of drawbacks although not perfect. Keeping things loosely coupled would also enable us to re-organise the structure later if needed.
From a provisioning perspective you set this all up so that new projects are added to the correct hub site. The challenge will be the limitation on number of hub sites if you have lots of clients, in which case, you may need to use the highlighted content web part and sites web part to just select the associated sites rather than have it automated through Hub association.
We also have a separate hub site for the intranet published content with a communication site for each major function such as HR and Marketing so they manage their own content.

Just found out that the Highlighted webpart is possible to setup so that it rolls up content from all sites within a tenant. I guess this could be utilized to reach content across various hubs and associated sites.
If we just tag docs in a purposeful way then this could be a way to accomplish something very similar to what I asked for in this thread. Will experiemnt a litlle with this and post any findings here.
