Update: Document Sets in Modern Document Libraries
LincolnDeMaris How do I verify this has been rolled out to my organization - whenever I use document sets, they always open in a new tab outside of the "Modern view" back to the original old SharePoint view. Is there a setting I'm missing to enable "Modern View of Document Sets," or do I need to wait longer for a rollout? I'd like to be able to use Document Sets in the same fashion as the gif you originally posted - but have yet to get the chance to. Thanks!
reveler24 Modern document sets are rolled to all organizations. If you are still seeing the classic document set page, that should mean that either the library itself is configured to use classic, or the document set welcome page has been customized and we're detecting that and falling back to classic.

Thanks for for the update Lincoln. I’m still seeing classic view, even when configured for modern experience. I don’t have customised welcome pages either.
I did have modern document sets for a few days in that initial rollout in early June, so The issue doesn’t appear to be on my end. Seems that others are still seeing classic view as well, so there appears to be a broader issue here.
Are you you able to advise?

We are continuing the roll-out of modern document sets to more organizations. If your organization is now seeing the modern view, we'd love to hear any feedback you'd like to provide. If you're still seeing the classic welcome page, your organization will get the modern view in a later phase of the roll-out. Thanks again for your patience.

Hi Michael,
We have the document sets displaying in modern view ok, but we used to use Doc sets in classic view heavily, and cannot migrate from their in many situations because we are unable to display Document set properties on the top of the page for example, as there are no welcome pages in modern.
Can you advise if anything like this is on the roadmap at all ?

Microsoft
Hello everybody, I'm sorry to say I made a mistake. Modern Document Sets are currently 100% of Targeted Release. We're working on one more bug fix and will then move it as quickly as we can to all of production. I'm sorry for the confusion that my last message caused, as well as the delay of this rollout in general.

LincolnDeMaris is the bug fix for the wrong icon when the content type is switched? If not, are you all planning on resolving that? Another user said this has existed for previous versions as well.

LincolnDeMaris I used new library and set modern experience to New. Still it is old view. I did not see anything change. Is there anything I have to do for this?

LincolnDeMaris - can you post some screen shots of a Modern Doc Set. We have a new icon for the doc set, but otherwise looks and works the same (e.g., not new toolbar, such as copy/move )

LincolnDeMaris Hi Lincoln. Modern documents sets are still not working. The library is set to 'new experience' and welcome page hasn't been customized (new doclib, only content type für DocumentSets has been added). Do tenant region (Central Europe) or language have an impact? Thx, Markus

LincolnDeMaris If we're certain that our libraries are configured to display using the modern experience, then how can we confirm if SharePoint perceives the Welcome Page of a document set to be customized? More importantly, if the Welcome Page is customized for a particular document set content type within that library, how do we revert it back to not be customized, such that SharePoint will always display the document set in the modern experience?
Being able to use modern document sets without view workarounds and that don't open in different browser tabs (which I assume is due to the classic experience) will be a massive benefit to our organization.
