Placeholder URL for grouping doclibs in a site.
We have lot of clinical trials with in a department . Each of them will need a different site because of the amount of documentation each trial require.
We need a container name for each trial li...
Not sure what is your question here...the scenario you have is perfectly accomplished by means of a single site where you create several document libraries each one what it's specific security configuration. If each trial only requires to store documents, it does not make sense to create a subsite or even a site collection. Coming back to the initial though, I don't see a problem on creating a modern team site with several document libraries and each one with it's specific security configuration, Bear in mind that you can still create a classic SPO site and use modern features there...
Maybe i'm not explaining right, Users while accesing the trial need to know where they are so we create subsite as placeholder. It seems like hubsites can be the way to go for us, I'll try to reframe the complete scenario so you can understand better.
