Person column value changes after saving
We have a List in our SharePoint with columns for selecting people within our company. A weird thing we found is that, if we select a guy named Anmol, and once we save it, a different name ends up b...
Please check the properties of that column. I suspect that it may have a setting configured as 'Choose from' > allowing selection only from a specific SharePoint Group
- If the column type is Person or Group, SharePoint allows limiting choices to a particular SharePoint Group.
- You can check this by navigating to List Settings > Edit Column > Column Properties > Choose from
- If it's restricted, only members of the specified group, you may have to modify choose from "all users"
