Parse url to use in Web.Content

I would like to have an Excel spreadsheet in our SharePoint folder.  I would create links to the spreadsheet and append parameters onto its URL.  When the user opens the link I would like to grab portions of the URL and use them in my Json.Document(Web.Contents( )) code as parameters to import the JSON data. 

 

Is this possible?  Thanks in advance.
