Jul 18, 2016OD4B vs SPOnline New Look Libraries vs Classic Look Libraries
Hey People, anyone else noticed that OD4B is behaving differently between the New and Classic looks on SPOnline? On my Win7 Office2010 - with OD4B from Office2013 installed - aka Groove.exe - and the Next Gen sync client installed - aka onedrive.exe If you have the Classic look in SPOnline, then when you try to Sync a new folder, IE pops open a new tab and suggests you install the stand-alone OD4B client for O2013 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-nz/kb/2903984). If you have the New Look enabled, it opens the sync client correctly. On my Win10 Office2016 (MSI) machine, again with both sync clients installed, the experience is slightly different again. New Look works fine. Classic Look asks if you want to launch the OD4B program (grvopen://...) and if you allow, it launches correctly, however your browser also goes to the "install the new stand alone client" page, as above!!! Any idea what's going on here? I've posted this into the OD4B board too.
