"Name (for use in forms)" column in the Modern Experience libraries and lists

In switching an existing SharePoint library from the classic to modern experience UI, the list view column, "Name (for use in forms)" no longer acts as it did in the classic view.  In classic view, the filename is not hyperlinked to the document.  In the modern view, it is hyperlinked to the document.  This negates having that column as an option in creating modern list views since out of the three options for the "Name" column, that one formerly did not create a hyperlink to the document, while the other two did in classic view.  I want to use the modern view, but I don't want the filename to be hyperlinked to the document.  Is this an expected behavior, or can it be fixed?
