Modern webpart to webpart connections, new modern design features
Hi all,
I'm interested in whether the webpart to webpart connections are available in Sharepoint online?
The Office365 roadmap states that the feature is launched:
Description Status Products Release
SharePoint web parts: web part to web part connections | Launched | O365 Online SharePoint | December CY2018 |
however, I am not able to make any webpart connections in modern experience. Also I'm not able to change the design inline with the new features released.
Are the features in fact released or just released to some tenants?
Cheers

It is rolling out now. Expected completion end of March

The features that are rolling out are very limited and the possible connections are only a preview of a list that is already present on the main page. There is no list to list connections. Very disappointing.

Apologies I do not always login with this specific account.
They are a little limiting at first. Most things that are V1 in SharePoint online Modern I find are. As things get improved overtime.
Head over to the SharePoint Uservoice and let the product team know you what you need.
If you want to see what is possible and how they work Laura Rogers did a Power hour session on them back end of March on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cizr03DTqw
You might find something in there you were looking for. As the options to use them were quite hidden away.

How can I tell when these features have been rolled out to my tenant? Do I have to just keep checking the web parts themselves?
- I have List Properties web part - it connects with lists, although it appears to only work with a test list that I just created.
- Embed web part lets me connect the source to a list on my page.
- I don't see any way to connect the File Viewer web part to a list.
Is this connection planned for libraries, as well?
Thank you for your time.
- The connector code is for spfx for dev's to link them together. The existing webparts won't have the webparts updated to support linking to others just yet to my knowledge.

Hey ChrisWebbTech ... is that true? I am not a developer but was expecting this to be able to be done using the GUI based on this blog entry ... (see web part connections header)
As for Nikola Nenadovic it is being rolled out, I have not seen it either. But there was just an announcement in the Admin Message Center that should be done by end of 2018
- Curious to know what "Connector code" means :-)...AFAIK, WebParts connection (as I said) are being rolled out so for instance we will be able to connect a Document Library WebPart to a File Viewer WebPart
- WebPart Connections are being rolled out, so they might not hit your tenant yet
