The connector code is for spfx for dev's to link them together. The existing webparts won't have the webparts updated to support linking to others just yet to my knowledge.

Hey ChrisWebbTech ... is that true? I am not a developer but was expecting this to be able to be done using the GUI based on this blog entry ... (see web part connections header)
As for Nikola Nenadovic it is being rolled out, I have not seen it either. But there was just an announcement in the Admin Message Center that should be done by end of 2018
- Dec 20, 2018Curious to know what "Connector code" means :-)...AFAIK, WebParts connection (as I said) are being rolled out so for instance we will be able to connect a Document Library WebPart to a File Viewer WebPart

Not sure how many are coming with the ability to do so from Microsoft's default selection. Hopefully all the ones that make sense, but I only remember seeing the File Viewer :).
Anyway, guess we have to wait and see!
