Modern UI on a list item

Question

Struggling to understand why a list where the modern UI is applied doesn't apply the new UI to an item when it's either being created or opening it to view the details.

I have not encountered any scenario where the Modern experience isn't applied to item creation and modification in a Custom list. What kind of list are you using?

I'm not sure how to respond. It's a fairly standard list. In the past we've had calculated and other fields that prevented&nbsp; applying the modern look to lists, but we've stripped those out and just have text, choice, number, person or group and look up columns.

Yes, we eventually found a hidden column and removed it that proved to be the culprit
