Sep 21, 2017Modern UI on a list item
Struggling to understand why a list where the modern UI is applied doesn't apply the new UI to an item when it's either being created or opening it to view the details.

Sep 22, 2017I'm not sure how to respond. It's a fairly standard list. In the past we've had calculated and other fields that prevented applying the modern look to lists, but we've stripped those out and just have text, choice, number, person or group and look up columns.

Did you find a solution to this at all, John?

Yes, we eventually found a hidden column and removed it that proved to be the culprit

Through trial and error, I found if I added ratings to the list - either star or likes - it reverted the edit and view item pages to classic. Even if I disabled ratings, the pages remained in classic. My list is now without ratings.
Has anyone been able to enable ratings on a list and maintain the edit and view item pages as modern?
