Modern sites Group calendar web part - cant open meetings on iOS

I have added the Group calendar web part to my Modern site home page.

Using a pc  - I click on a future meeting on the home page from the web part and it opens up to view content (and in my case the user can quickly join the Skype meetings).

However from iOS devices (tablet and phone) using the SharePoint app when I select a site home page and navigate to the group calendar web page and when I click on the meeting nothing happens. (I have not tried Android yet).

The Group Calendar web part does not say preview next to it so I would expect it to be working correctly across devices.

Does it work on mobiles devices?
