Hi Juan, The folks at Microsoft support have been able to replicate this problem at their end and have raised a request with the "Product group" as they put it.

- Hi Juan, Unfortunately this is still an ongoing issue.
I've also discovered quite a few other issues with using the Modern pages on existing (None Microsoft Teams generated) SharePoint sites.

Did you ever get resolution on this? We are experiencing the same thing. It is not across many sites, but we have encountered at least one instance of a person who is listed on the modern panel (when i the SP Admin look at it) as the site owner, and who is in an SP Group with full control permissions gets access denied when he clicks on Site Permissions from cog on modern page (but like you mention he can go to site settings and site permissions fine.

This hasn't been an issue for us for a long time. I will keep an eye out for it though, it sounds like it might start happening again for us.
