Modern Sharepoint online Team sites web parts
I am new to creating team sites for sharepoint. I would like to add a 2nd news feed - one for my team and one for clients on the home page. Is this a possibility at this time?

Not sure if i fully understand but i'll give it a try. I understand that you are trying to have two news webparts on Team Site?
If so then on the Home Page of the Team Site click on EDIT
On the next page click the + sign and you will get a drop down menu to select.
Do you care to elaborate a bit more and its better to have it on a seperate page for your client.
on my home page, i would like to have team news, then an additional news feed for client information.
when i add the 2nd news feed- it replicates the 1st set of news. When i try to edit the 2nd news feed from the news+ button, it doesnt change. It is like they are tied to each other. if that makes more sense.

Seems like there is no way to do that with the current Modern UI
