Missing metadata after coping documents from one library to other

There are two libraries on the SharePoint site with the very same columns and the same document type set. When document is copied to the other library it only holds a couple out of 6 fields that have been filled in the source library.

I have compared the settings of the both libraries and these seems to be identical. There is also no problem with permissions. What can cause that not all the metadata from columns is being copied along to the other library? Please help.

Hi LeoMatel, When documents are copied between SharePoint libraries, missing metadata can occur due to issues with content type configuration, field mapping, required fields, managed metadata, customizations/workflows, or versioning settings. Review these areas for discrepancies and consult with your SharePoint administrator for assistance.

Thanks Lalit Mohan it turned out that we have created columns on the Library level instead of Site level and that was the reason why metadata was being copied.
