migrating TFS SharePoint documents to a normal SharePoint site
We currently have a SharePoint site that was created using Team Foundation Services. We now have installed a corporate 2013 SharePoint farm. We want to migrate the contents from the TFS SharePoint to the new site retaining the Metadata. We have attempted every method that we could find including PowerShell scripts but noting retains the Created By, Modified By and the Dates (Created and Modified).
Is there somewhere or someone that can point us in the right direction. I am positive that my company will not invest in a 3rd party software for a one time Migration the small amount of data we have.
- Have you tried a third party tool but in trial mode? It could be enough if the amount of data is small as you mention. By the way, you should be able to retain those dates in your scrip so I guess the code you have created needs to get improved, but this is something than can be done with SPO APIs and third party tools are a prof of that
