Migrate a O365 SharePoint site to a Win2019 IIS Server

Hello guys,

I have been assigned the task to migrate an O365 SharePoint site to an IIS server. The idea is to create an Intranet for all of our employees and, in the future, create the proper WEB pages for the different departments and areas, also, we will be making this new "intranet Home Page" the default Home page for our users (this can be done easily with a GPO).

What I am looking for is an easy way or the easiest way to migrate (export) that site into a Win2019 IIS server. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Gabe

  • _What_ are you migrating to? SharePoint is a CMS/DMS that leverages IIS as a webserver. IIS itself just serves pages. You probably want a CMS sitting on top of IIS to store documents, pages, allow for easy editing, and so forth.

While you can export document content by accessing the site via the OneDrive sync client or lists to CSVs, the pages themselves won't be of use outside of SharePoint. In addition, you will lose all metadata, and so on.
