Metadata for SP library
Want to get rid of folders within libraries. Issue, to sort them with columns every time people have to go into details or edit in grid view to fill them in.
How can I create something that's easier for users to enter in the metadata? Goal is setup filters for finding their documents.

You can create a flat view in the library that displays all items without folders.
Add/Edit View > Folders > Show all items without folders
