Map View in SharePoint List

Hi There,

I've started using SharePoint Lists to add past work references. I added country name in a location column. Ideally, I would like to see my previous operations displayed on a map in SharePoint.

I therefore created a new view, chose map view and selected the column containing the country names.

However, SharePoint keeps telling that I have to add a geolocation column.

I don't get it. I already have a specific location column.
