It comes down to how and what you are doing.
If the person is a member of a group and the files are in the library of the group, then you can just send a link to a the file as the person already has permission to the file.
If you remove the person from the group, they will no longer have access to the files as they don't have explicit permissions - as their access is due to their group membership.

Thanks for the reply Loryan, I understand I can give them permissions to the group.
The scenario here is, they already have permissions and I want to make them aware of the file via the attach file method in Outlook. Unfortunately, the method provides unique permissions.
