Large document library: Deleted Documents but Settings count is still high

Well, if the number of items is still large no matter the folders you delete, you are going to have the problem reported
Called Microsoft Support.
They fixed it. Apparently there was a file that was 'hanging' or 'locked' during the delete process.
Now its ok.
