Issues with Communication Sites Edit Mode on partial page load

Hi All,

We have been having issues with 'edit mode' in communication site pages when accessing site pages via a link which induces a partial page load. The dysfunction that we see in "Edit Mode" include:

  - Can not edit page details fields when in edit mode. 

  - Edit button still present despite in edit mode. URL contains param '?Mode=Edit'

  - We can still edit the page (ie: can still change text in Title & add and remove webparts)

This temperamentally occurs when:

 - On /sites/1 We click on a link that brings us to /sites/1/sitepages/2

 - Click on 'Edit' button

And consistently occurs when:

- On /sites/1 We click on a link that brings us to /sites/2/sitepages/2

- Click on 'Edit' button

- So this consistently occurs on a cross site collection partial reload

This can be avoided:

- If we open the link in a new tab. (However this is not an option)

Testing:

- We have tested this on a brand new tenant I have created with no customization.

I am wondering if anyone else has similar issues regarding this? Has anyone found a workout around or know of any issues raised with Microsoft?
