Issue Creating Pages in Subsites on SharePoint Online - "Invalid Field Name" Error
I’m encountering an issue when trying to create pages in subsites on SharePoint Online. The root site is a publishing site and contains several subsites. When attempting to create a new page in the subsites, I get the following error: "Invalid Field Name. {9da97a8a-1da5-4a77-98d3-4bc10456e700}", and the page is not created.
Interestingly, there are no issues creating pages on the root site, where the error does not occur. After investigating, I found that the GUID mentioned in the error seems to correspond to the "ID" field of the page library on the root site.
Has anyone experienced this type of issue or knows how to resolve it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello,
SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online is quite a big leap. My recommendation would be to try to replicate what has been built as a customized solution, but in a modern way. In best case, try to use out of the box functionality to achieve your goals.
If you rely on classic sites for your current migration, there is a big chance that you would need to migrate again. I do believe that the classic sites will not have so long lifespan and that there is a risk that they will become unsupported by Microsoft in the future.
For new tenants (last two years), the root site is by default SITEPAGEPUBLISHING#0 (communication site) or on some rare occasions team sites. In my experience, I do not believe it is possible to convert it back to classic site.

I created another classic site (ex: .sharepoint.com/sites/test01) and works fine, but I would like use the root site.
Thanks!

Hello,
Is there any particular reason that you are using a "classic" publishing site on SharePoint Online?
Would it be possible for you to migrate it to a modern communication site?- cadufsCopper Contributor
