Is there any harm if we modify the default Indexes for the "Site Pages" & "Events" libraries/lists

I created a classic team site inside our sharepoint online tenant. and i added a modern Events & News web parts. then i checked the Indexes inside the "Site Pages" & "Events" libraries, and i found that we got these Indexes created for us:-

1- Inside the Events list we got 2 indexes (End Time + MasterSeriesItemID), as follow:-

2- Inside the Site Pages list we got these indexes (First Published Date + Modified), as follow:-

But my question is; if there will be any harm if we add additional Indexes inside these 2 lists?.

*For example inside the Events i added these Indexes:-

*Inside the Site Pages i added these indexes:-

  • No harm. But pointless unless you plan on building views or built in filters that consistently make use of the columns.

well my reply to your answer is Yes/No.. for example currently i might not need all these indexes inside my list views.. but in the future i might need them,,, and if in the future i need to add an index and my list already exceeds the threshold limit,, then defining new indexes will not work... so i would say currently i do not need all these indexes,, but in the future i might need them... if sharepoint allow us to define indexes for lists which already exceeds the threshold then i would add the indexes as i need them.. but unfortunatly this is not the case...
