Image Library, Thumbnail View and Filtering

- Filtering sorting and grouping in Thumbnail view should be a supported scenario. There is unfortunately a bug that causes the functionality to be hidden, but expect the fix soon...
Some other options would be:
1. Asset Library instead of document library
2 Content Search Web Part with customized display template
3. Custom search results page with appropriate refiners enabled
