How to view IRM option in Sharepoint

IRM in SPO document libraries is considered as deprecated...you should take a look at sensitivity labels in the Microsoft Purview Center

I didn't know IRM is deprecated. I couldn't see any info banner in SPO regarding this.
However , I found that if I am a Site Owner of a SPO site I can view the IRM settings in "Library Settings". Is that wrong ?
