How to hide the applied filters at document library?

Dear All,

Just found out that document library is showing applied filters for each views.

Some view shows exactly filters info as shown in 1st picture while some just showing "This view uses classic filters that you can view and edit here" as shown in 2nd picture.

If clear the filters, the screen will shows all the documents which should be not allowed to view.

Anyone have idea to hide this???

I have just seen a new adjustment rolled out today to this feature on our Tenant.
This option is only visible for users with Edit permission or above.
    • SnoopDog Yes, that was the expected behavior and needed fix from Microsoft end.

Clear Filters button should be visible only to the users with Edit or Higher permissions on list (for public views).

This option should be available if user has any personal/private view in the list.

Also, having a flag to enable/disable this feature for all users (with any permissions) will be helpful in case few customers don't want this feature.

This is a new feature by Microsoft which is currently rolling out to all SharePoint tenants. Here are details about this feature:

Here's is roadmap ID for this feature: SharePoint: Microsoft Lists - Applied Filters

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to disable this feature for selected tenant/site/list for now.

You can either provide feedback about this feature on SharePoint feedback portal or raise support ticket with Microsoft directly and report it: Get M365 support - online support

Update: Seems like Microsoft started rolling back this feature change for now.

Following. Also seeing this for the first time today and on really basic views (not showing some columns, and filtering out a not equal to on a choice column).

I also do not like this feature. If they add additional filters to a view then that would be fine, and then the clear would reset back to the view. Having it clear all filters baked in from the view is stupid.

You can't even just reselect the view to reapply them, you have to change to a different view first and then select the view again. Absolutely stupid.

This behaviour also just started for our tenant today, within the last few hours.

@Microsoft: This is unacceptable and we have the same concerns and problems with it that Jlim has.

    How can this be disabled?
