How to hide the applied filters at document library?

This behaviour also just started for our tenant today, within the last few hours.
@Microsoft: This is unacceptable and we have the same concerns and problems with it that Jlim has.
How can this be disabled?
- I logged a ticket regarding this. I`ll be back if there is any update/info.
