How to assign a list view to a group in SharePoint
Hi,
My SharePoint site have 2 groups, admins and visitors. In a documents library, I created 2 views that match different files. One view see all files in library and the second see some kind of file.
I'm searching a way to force visitors group to use the second view but I don't find that on SharePoint.
There is a way to do that ? Or something like that ?
vivitare You can use target audience in classic experience list view: Limiting permission on all items and views
Currently there is No way to use Target Audience in SharePoint modern experience list view.
Check my answer given below for more information and workaround to try:
- limit a user to see specific view of a SharePoint list
- View for individual user groups
- Can we create separate SharePoint List View for each Security Group?
Or If you want to limit access to other files for visitors, you can use item level permissions for files. Grant access to files for Admin group only and it will be hidden from visitor group users.
