How to add "see all" news page to navigation menu
Hi all,
I would like that the page that is shown by clicking on "see all" in the News web part to also appear in the navigation menu.
I have tried to insert the url of the page as a link to a menu item but then it is not possible to save the change. Is there any way to achieve this?
thank you,
Sara

To add a "See All" news page to the navigation menu in SharePoint Online, you need to follow these steps:
1. Locate the "See All" News Page URL
First, identify the URL of the "See All" news page.
- Go to the News Web Part: Navigate to the page where your News web part is located.
- Click "See All": Click the "See All" link in the News web part. This will open the page that shows all news articles.
- Copy the URL: Copy the URL of this page from your browser’s address bar.
2. Add the URL to the Navigation Menu
Next, add this URL to the navigation menu.
For Modern SharePoint Sites:
- Go to Your SharePoint Site: Navigate to your SharePoint site where you want to add the link.
- Open Navigation Settings:
- Click the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
- Select Site contents.
- Click on Site settings (if you don't see this, you might need to select Site Information first and then View all site settings).
- In the Site Settings page, look for the Navigation or Quick Launch settings, depending on whether you are modifying the top navigation or the left navigation.
- For modern sites, go directly to Edit on the left-hand navigation menu if it's a modern experience.
- Edit the Navigation:
- If using the Quick Launch menu (left navigation), click Edit to modify the menu.
- If using the Top Navigation, go to Edit Links.
- Add a New Link:
- Click + Link or + Add.
- Paste the URL of the "See All" news page into the Address field.
- Enter a title for the link, such as "See All News".
- Click OK or Save to add the link.
- Save Changes:
- Make sure to save or publish your changes, depending on what option is available.
For Classic SharePoint Sites:
- Go to Your SharePoint Site: Navigate to your SharePoint site where you want to add the link.
- Edit Navigation:
- Click Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
- Select Site settings.
- Under the Look and Feel section, click Navigation.
- Add a Link:
- In the Navigation Settings, under Structural Navigation: Editing and Sorting, click Add Link.
- Enter the URL of the "See All" news page in the Web Address field.
- Enter the link text in the Description field (e.g., "See All News").
- Choose the location where you want to add this link (either the top link bar or quick launch).
- Click OK to save.
- Save Changes:
- Click OK again to apply changes to the navigation.
Troubleshooting
- If Changes Are Not Saving: Ensure you have appropriate permissions to modify navigation settings. If you encounter issues saving the URL, double-check the URL format and ensure it’s correctly copied from the address bar.
- Permissions: Make sure you have the necessary permissions to edit the navigation menu. If you are not the site owner or have limited permissions, you might need to contact someone who has full control over the site.
- Clear Cache: If the changes do not appear immediately, try clearing your browser cache or refreshing the page.
Following these steps should allow you to successfully add the "See All" news page to your SharePoint Online navigation menu. The text and steps were edited with the help of AI.

NikolinoDE thank you, this time it worked correcly: maybe I really had cache issues and for this reason I couldn't save menu changes. Anyway, the odd thing was that changes did not save only when I pasted "all news" url .
Anyway, now, It's working.
Thanl you again, and have a nice day!
