Hitting return from PDF changes URL but not site?
It's more than just me who are experiencing the issue, but it's very helpful to know that you are not, since I can now narrow it down to our organisation. But I will definitely check up on how widespread this issue is, to see if its something with the users or the sharepoint site...and then probably contact microsoft support to get help.
MiaPil Sure, that makes sense. Try on different SharePoint sites in same M365 tenant (team site, communication site).
Also check on SharePoint sites from other M365 tenants if you have access to any.

Did a little more trouble shooting, and it seems that if you have full control permission then you are not able to go back or close the PDF correctly BUT if you just have ordinary read or edit permission, then you will be able to open, close, and go back in PDF as you are supposed to. And it happens on both team- and communication sites. Was only able to try it on same tenant though.
We are gonna contact Microsoft. Thank you so much for all the advices and suggestions 🙂

MiaPil You're welcome, glad it helped you.
Also, I have SharePoint administrator role in my tenant, I tried with Full Control permissions only and I was unable to reproduce the issue on my site.
