Hide/Show column in MS List (Contribute permission)

Hello

With MS List, you have the option to edit the form (show/hide columns).

I understand this is for people with administrator permissions (full control, owners)

Why does it also show up for people with Contribute permissions? Because they are not allowed to make changes to the form. This is very confusing.
