Hide librairies base on rights
- Mar 15, 2018
ok, i found my problem.
it works now on my communication site.
The solution is here : https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/hide-document-libraries-and-list-for-users-with-no/30c9ce9d-0c74-46c5-9291-f18d3a0ed565
The top navigation in communication sites is not being "Security Trimmed". Security Trimming in general isn't (yet?) implemented in modern sites the way it was (is) in classic sites, probably because of it's impact on performance. Several ideas already exist on UserVoice to implement this so you can vote here or post your own to give it extra attention.

Great! So the lists with a link in the top navigation bar to them are also not visible anymore? Or are they only gone from the Site Contents page for users without access?

yes, in the top navigation menu, the user can see only librairies he had access and not the others
i dident look in content page but i think YES, like the top menu
