Global Navigation is missing the Hub Site.
Following up on this post from THREE YEARS ago... https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/hubsite-missing-global-navigation-when-adding-as-a-tab-with-a/m-p/1665877#M72077
To clarify, the horizontal Global Navigation Menu across the top of the SharePoint site includes a link to the Hub Site.
Meanwhile, the vertical Global Navigation Button found below the App Launcher on the M365 SharePoint homepage is lacking this link to the Hub Site.
Hi Anthony-123 ,
do you mean the first link in a hub navigation that links back to the hubsite itself? ("hub" in my example below)
That is not part of the navigation (like the link behind the site logo "h" is not part of the site navigation). You also can not edit that link
So this won't be displayed if you use that hub navigation for the global navigation.
In that case go to "Gear"->"Hub Site Settings" and disable that the hub name should be shown in navigation. Then that "hub" from my above example will disappear.
Now you can add your own link to the hub navigation that links to your hub start page.
That link will then also be in the global navigation on the left side.
Best Regards,
Sven
Anthony-123 SharePoint App bar global navigation and hub site navigation is different in SharePoint.
You may need to customize the global navigation manually to add the required menu links. Check: Enable and Customize Global navigation in the SharePoint app bar

ganeshsanap I see. I'm still not entirely clear on the difference between home site and hub site (they're the same for us) but the issue is that the home/hub site navigation is using the global site navigation 'element' in place of the home/hub site navigation. So this 'element' is added after the initial link to the home/hub site.
This is what I have:
Home/Hub Navigation:
DOMAIN Site 1 | Site 2 | Site 3
Global Navigation:
Site 1
Site 2
Site 3The problem is that users triggering the global navigation are missing the link to the home/hub site - unless I manually add that to the global navigation. Doing this would be redundant and display two links to the home/hub site in the home/hub navigation menu.
