HubSite missing global navigation when adding as a tab (with a link)

Hubsite is missing the global navigation when added as a tab on a Microsoft Team. But it renders fine when I open any communication/team site in browser. Any one experience the same?

    This is current a by design limitation that I know Microsoft is intending to solve, but no ETA when this might happen and the details about how it will be fixed 😞

    vsyDSMSame. Very annoying. Happens even when adding it as a website link. Teams browser window might behave that way, if they used a similar way to access the files tabs - but that's just a guess.
