Files not opening in client applications
When accessing a file from a sharepoint library it is opening up in the web version of the applications despite the "Open Documents in Client Applications by Default" setting being active under Site Settings > Site Collection Features

There is setting in the library, Please go to advance setting and check. if its not enabled please enable and try.

Even the document library settings is updated as below correct?
library settings>Advanced Settings>Opening Documents in the Browser to Open in the client application
