File permissioning - by groups or individuals?
Hello!
Previous advice around permissioning for files etc. would suggest that you should create a group for that document or library, and add users to that group.
However, now with SharePoint Online, you can share files to a specific individual and bypass the group creation process.
Is there any particular reason for a recommendation to share by groups, or is sharing individually now manageable?

- My recomendation is work with Groups (specifically with Office 365 Groups) and at the site level. If you have a complex and deep information architecture, avoid to break inheritance at the document library / list level and at the individual document / item level
