File & Media webpart: Powerpoint first slide links aren't clickable

Looking to see if anyone else has this experience/any solutions:

You add a File & Media webpart to a SPOnline page, link it to a PowerPoint file. The first slide has a hyperlink, but that link isn't clickable when the page first loads.

If you move to another slide, links work correctly, including when you move back to the first slide.

Any way to get this functionality to work correctly with the File & Media webpart?

Slides work fine when you open in PPT, no amount of recreating the PowerPoint works, but switching to the "Embed" webpart solves the problem.

I face the same bug. Created a PowerPoint single slide which contains hyperlinks to other web pages and the first row of shape with links do not click through to targets. The second row do click through. I am attempting to determine if there is a workaround that will bypass the stripping of the links.

mandrake64  I created a "cheat" way of handling this - I created a second slide that's duplicate to the first. I set the PPT animation to advance from slide 1 to slide 2 with a single click. The weird part is that if you navigate back to the first slide, it's click-able again.
I have to think this is a bug, but I haven't found a better fix yet
