File & Media webpart: Powerpoint first slide links aren't clickable

I face the same bug. Created a PowerPoint single slide which contains hyperlinks to other web pages and the first row of shape with links do not click through to targets. The second row do click through. I am attempting to determine if there is a workaround that will bypass the stripping of the links.
mandrake64 I created a "cheat" way of handling this - I created a second slide that's duplicate to the first. I set the PPT animation to advance from slide 1 to slide 2 with a single click. The weird part is that if you navigate back to the first slide, it's click-able again.
I have to think this is a bug, but I haven't found a better way around this.
