External sharing in IRM enabled doc library

Hi ,

 I would like to know the behavior of external sharing in a doc library where IRM is enabled ? Will an external user be able to receive the document from a doc library which has IRM enabled . I have an issue where the external sharing works when I keep the doc library in classic UI and when I switch it to modern UI it doesn't work .

    Mirroring my reply from TechNet: I have no trouble sharing files in IRM-protected library, either with OrgID or MicrosoftIDs. The option is available and working in the Modern UI. Accessing the files also works just fine.

     

    That's a regular SPO library though, I haven't bothered to check with Group or Comm site.
