Excel workbooks out of Sync

Ha ave user that said when he is at home the "Schedules" flle is "old"

I logged him onto M365 and opened SharePoint online > navigated to the file and opened it - it was not up to date.

He had created a shortcut in Chrome > opened it via the shortcut and it was upto date - could see worker at next desk who had the file also open, in corresponding cell and she could see him.
