Everyone Except External Users - Solution for replacement
We have a private site where users can only access certain pages. And it has been useful for us to set 'EEEU' so as not force people to request access because those pages, part of a private site, are for public access.
Is there a solution for this now that Microsoft is about to remove EEEU permissions? How can i set permissions to everyone without them noticing a change of their access or their access being blocked?
I appreciate any suggestions. We do not want users to start realizing they dont have access to publicly available pages within the company

It appears to be working correctly on my site. Please try manually typing Everyone Except External Users into the field (do not copy), then press Ctrl + K to resolve the group.
Alternatively, a Security Group or a Dynamic Group containing all users can be created in Microsoft Entra ID, and that group can be added instead.

Microsoft’s Recommended Workaround for EEEU Group Removal
As outlined in the Microsoft Learn article titled "Everyone except external users group is removed on Microsoft 365 private group website", Microsoft has provided the following workaround:
- Create a new SharePoint permissions group specifically for this purpose.
- Assign the same permission level to the new group as was assigned to the original group.
- Add the "Everyone Except External Users" group as a member of the newly created group.

so im trying to add a group within a group but i could no longer find EEEU
is there an alternative way of doing it? Also once EEEU is added to the new group and is disabled or removed, how can we make sure it retains all the permissions of everyone?
